Short, because the app does little that needs governing: it runs on your device, moves files directly between phones, and is yours to use.
The app
RelayPony is provided free of charge for Android, with iOS planned. The application source is licensed under the Apache License 2.0. While the app is in closed testing, and once it is published, your use of the build from Google Play is also governed by Google Play's standard terms.
No warranty
RelayPony is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. You are responsible for confirming you are sending to the right device. Pairing uses trust-on-first-use, so scanning the correct phone's QR code is on you. The developer is not responsible for a file sent to the wrong recipient because the wrong device was paired.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any loss of data, misdirected transfer, or other damages arising from use of the app. You assume responsibility for what you send and to whom.
Acceptable use
Don't use RelayPony to break the law where you live, and don't use it to send content you have no right to share. Beyond that, what you transfer is your business. The app has no way to know and is built that way on purpose.
The website and waitlist
If you use the waitlist form on this site, submit only your own email address. What is collected and how it is used is described in the privacy policy. The waitlist is offered as a convenience and may be paused or closed at any time, for example once the app launches publicly.
Changes
If these terms change materially, the "Last updated" date above will change with them.
