Terms.
Short, because the app does little that needs governing: it runs on your device, moves files directly between phones, and is yours to use.
The app
RelayPony is provided free of charge for iPhone and Android. The application source is licensed under the Apache License 2.0. Your use of the iPhone app from the App Store is also governed by Apple's standard App Store terms, and your use of the Android app from Google Play is also governed by Google Play's standard terms. The Android app is also distributed on F-Droid, where the build is produced and signed by F-Droid from the public source under the same Apache-2.0 license.
No warranty
RelayPony is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. You are responsible for confirming you are sending to the right device. Pairing uses trust-on-first-use, so scanning the correct phone's QR code is on you. The developer is not responsible for a file sent to the wrong recipient because the wrong device was paired.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any loss of data, misdirected transfer, or other damages arising from use of the app. You assume responsibility for what you send and to whom.
Acceptable use
Don't use RelayPony to break the law where you live, and don't use it to send content you have no right to share. Beyond that, what you transfer is your business. The app has no way to know and is built that way on purpose.
The website
This site is informational: it links to the App Store, Google Play, and F-Droid and explains how RelayPony works. The pre-launch waitlist form has been retired now that both apps are public. What little the site ever collected, and how any remaining data is handled, is described in the privacy policy.
Changes
If these terms change materially, the "Last updated" date above will change with them.
